Beach Retreat 2010

Wow, it is hard to put into words all the great things God did in the hearts at the beach retreat this past weekend! I'm amazed at the fact that God's love and grace is freely given to us everyday and we GET to serve Him! It was a blast to have 120 plus there to worship together! I was blessed to see students worshiping and encouraging each other. I truly believe that this generation will make a huge impact for eternity and I'm grateful I get to be a part of it. I can say that my team of adult leaders, small group leaders, cooking team, band, speaker, late night host, etc that they hit a HOME RUN! It is a privilege to serve alongside such Christ-centered, selfless leaders. My prayer is that God continues what He started and students begin to be "totally consumed" with Christ in their lives!

Update on Life

I have been super busy with preparing for this coming beach retreat in Panama City Beach! We are pumped about having a great weekend focused upon being "totally consumed" with a lifestyle of worship. I'm praying for God to move in the hearts of students and to change lives. We are excited to have Tim and Em Flowers leading worship and my brother Jeff Robinson as the speaker! Justin (my younger brother) is leading "Late Night" and I know it is going to be "off the chain" with great videos, skits and games. Here is the logo for the weekend!

• I have begun two more seminary classes. I'm almost finished with my Master's in Christian Leadership. Praying that I can stay the course and not become lazy.
• We are enjoying the new house and I'm so grateful for a great wife to share it with!
• I've enjoyed the last season of LOST - It is fun actually learning about the craziness of the Island! I'm still "lost" and am trying to figure it all out.
• The pollen has fallen here in Alabama and I'm not used to it. Spent a few days this past week sick. I'm trying to get on a workout program and stay focused on a routine. I hear P90x is the way.
• The final four was amazing as usual. Butler was such an inspiration to small schools making it! It was like watching "Hoosiers" in real life.
• Now I'm headed to finish two papers tonight so I can spend the weekend focused on loving and ministering to students! Please pray for us.

Monday Minute

Life has been busy lately with moving into our home and ministry! Here are a few quick updates to life:

• Moved into our new home and have really enjoyed having our own place. Cassidy is doing a great job of decorating!
• Leaving at 4:45am in the morning to take a group of students and parents deep sea fishing in Destin, Florida! The goal is to build relationships and catch some great fish!
• Cassidy is enjoying being a substitute teacher!
• Cassidy's new CD "New Day" is coming out in April! We are really excited about it and the potential it has to bring glory to Christ! If you want to pre-order one, click HERE.
• It has been awesome to see students come to know Christ in the past few months. Praying for God to continue to move in hearts and see more salvation and growth in their lives!
• I'm blessed to have many people in my life that encourage me often.
• Thankful for a loving church family and staff to work with each week.
• I'm trying to get back on a workout routine and am planning on drinking protein shakes each day to gain back some weight (and muscle) hopefully.
• March Madness has been crazy! My brackets are not doing so well, but I'm enjoying watching some great basketball.
• I'm beginning a new series called "Shift" - Focusing on the cross and the days leading up to Jesus' crucifixion. Praying that students shift their focus to the real meaning of the cross and resurrection!
• I'm beginning my next two seminary classes this week. I'm learning a lot and am being challenged to manage time wisely.
• Thankful for God's grace - I'm praying that I would decrease and that He would increase in my life and relationships.
