Branding your Student Ministry
Recently I joined a roundtable discussion with a few great youth pastors! A few weeks ago I joined youthmin.org as a contributor and I'm excited about partnering with them in helping encourage others in student ministry. We discussed how to brand your ministry. We talked through the purposes of branding and shared helpful tips. It was the first time I used Google+ hangout, but I can see how useful and fun it can be to collaborate and learn from other youth workers!

Source SM Recap: Volume #19
Current Series: “I AM: changes who I am” Title: Week 3 – “The Way, Truth and Life” Main Thought: Jesus is the only way to God. Scripture: John 14:1-7, Luke 19:10, Acts 4:12.
Message explanation: Have you ever been in a moment where a close friend is leaving and you? It is an abrupt departure and you cannot go with them. You feel confused, sad, your heart is breaking…
It is the night before Jesus’ death. Jesus knows He is about to face the cross. Despite what Jesus is about to face, He comforts His closest friends.
1. Jesus comforts His disciples (John 14:1-3). Greek for “believe” is to continue to believe even after he is gone. The disciples were perplexed! A few days before Jesus came into Jerusalem on a donkey with people singing, “hosanna!” Now everything is falling apart?!
The word for “dwelling” is rooms or “abiding places.” It was referring to a Jewish father who would build a new room onto His house for his son and new family. In the same way our Father prepares a place for you and me in Heaven. Jesus encourages them that He is leaving, but He will come back for them. He will return!
2. Jesus’ response to Thomas and the disciples (John 14:4-6)
John 14:5 “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
One of the most profound questions in all of the Bible. It is a question everyone person asks deep inside their soul. The world says there are many ways, but there is truly only ONE way.
John 14:6 – “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
