So...You Are Telling Me There's A Chance?

I love a true underdog story.

We are two days away from the Jaguars playing the Patriots in the AFC Championship game! If I were to make a prediction that the Jaguars would be in this position a year ago, 99% of people would think it was a joke and the Jags were the punchline. But, we are in it and I hope we can win it!

We are up against arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history - Tom Brady. No biggie, right?! The Patriots are in their seventh consecutive AFC championships game, so this is normal for them. Jaguar fans aren't used to watching their team into mid-late January. But, I love being the underdog!

Tom Coughlin and Doug Marrone have done an incredible job of cleaning up the "we are just trying to get better" mindset that prevailed several years in the past and brought back hard-working, old-school, tough defense and efficient offense (when Blake plays well).

The Jaguars are coming into the game as nine-point underdogs. But, I believe that the Jaguars can pull off the upset at Foxborough! Our defense is young and ready for any challenge that comes their way (As an FSU fan, watching Telvin Smith and Jalen Ramsey play at the highest level has been incredible).

The Jaguars are the biggest challenge we’ve faced.
— Tom Brady

I'm super excited for the team and our city!

America - come on and be a Jaguar fan this Sunday!

You might be wondering...why this blog? My passion is to see people become growing followers of Jesus. My writing is meant to help inspire, encourage, train and equip leaders. I want to share what I'm learning, as I go, as a Pastor, Dad and Husband. I want to help be an encourager to you, so that you can be all that God wants you to become. I'm passionate about leadership, church planting, preaching, culture, sports and whatever else is on my mind!

I started blogging over 12 years ago using a platform called, "Xanga!" If you have no idea what that means, you didn't miss much. I felt led to come back to writing as a way to grow and share what God is revealing to me.

But since my goal is ultimately to be an encouragement to you, I'd love to get your input. What topics or questions would you like to read and discuss together? Leadership? Family/Marriage? Culture/Sports? Something else? Vote in the poll below or share in the comments!
