Life is about...

relationships... I am astounded over and over again when I hear stories of people and their love for Jesus. I'm excited about the joy that can be found in an eternal relationship with God.

Life is my goal as a student Pastor, not just to have programs and fun trips, but for students to learn that life is about Jesus and knowing Him. I am reminded of how important each person is to God in His parable about the Lost Sheep in Luke 15. Not only does God love each of us, but He loves the lost people that do not know Him.

"What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders rejoicing..."

Relationships.

We must stay focused upon relationships. Not just "hollywood" style relationships that are based upon status, popularity, clothes, outward appearance, etc. But we must focus on people and their hearts. Knowing them and caring for them just like Jesus did for His disciples.

When Jesus died on the cross, His heart broke. He died loving people. Even those who crucified Him.

The world needs to hear about this Jesus. The world needs to see people being Jesus. The world needs us to love each other as the church should love each other.
