Setting an example...

Last night at Elevate was a blessing! It is one reason why I love to be a part of student ministry...seeing students open up to each other and share their passion for God! How many times have I heard that students are all focused on themselves and not on God!? Can I say that I saw "church" happen last night...I'm not talking about meeting in a building as church....but students were loving each other, praying for each other, crying out for encouragement for living for Jesus in this world. As a student pastor, I sat and watched from a distance God showing some that He truly has a plan for their life.

I am reminded of a passage in 1 Timothy 4:12, "Let no one despise you of your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."

May it be that students revolutionize the way we desire God in 2007! I believe that God is alive and working today despite terrorism, pain, hurricanes, etc. God is there! He will always be, now and forever. The only times God has moved in a mighty way is when people humble themselves and pray and seek His face

(1 Chr. 5:17 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.")

Can true spiritual healing come to Jacksonville? I believe it. God can do anything...my question to myself and friends here is:

are we ready individually for God to move?
