Elevate was great last night, it was awesome to see one of the students accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour! Wow, what an awesome God! I am a work in progress as many of you know! I shared with some of the student leaders that I am too driven sometimes that I wear myself out. My drive to "get everything done" becomes my focus at times. Wow... ...I'm coming to realize that when I get "busy" I can miss the voice of God. Last night I just asked God to speak to my heart and reveal anything that is not pleasing to Him...what immediately came was the fact that I let "doing ministry" to take over and not letting God take control. God worked last night and it is amazing to see Him show up in power!
God's love for us? Well...one of my favorite passages is: Psalm 139:13-18 it says, "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you,when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance;in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you."
What an awesome promise of God...He created us in every detail, we are created in His image. Now athiests and evolutionists say otherwise...That we are created for no real purpose, there is no God and I am fully capable on my own. The one thing that any athiest cannot shake is GOD'S LOVE!!!! He loves each person whether or not they love Him back! Whether you believe in God or not, He loves you! Sweet! I have talked with many athiests/agnostics/muslims/Hindus/etc...and many of these people I've talked to never heard the true gospel of Jesus Christ! Many of these people think that Christians have a "mindless faith." They believe that science and faith are incompatible. Science..."is the search for truth." Did we come from a "big bang?" Well...try a scientific experiement for me...don't clean up your room for a year, does it create ORDER or DISORDER? well...duh, Josh! It is only logical. God made us in His image because He made us to love us. He created everything. Does a building just "pop" up out of the ground? No...it needs a builder. The world was created by the hands of God! Have you seen a sunset lately? Have you seen the mountains? Have you seen ocean waves? God's awesome handiwork is shown! Here are 5 conclusions that can be made IF evolution was true (it is not):
1. There's no evidence for God 2. There's no life after death 3. There's no absolute foundation for right and wrong 4. There's no ultimate meaning for life 5. People don't really have a free will

God is REAL!!!!! He changed my life and so many others. Check out this book if you have any further questions, "The Case for a Creator" student edition by Lee Strobel. Awesome book that will delve into deeper PROOFS that God is the creator.
