Yo blog world. haha. I'm heading to Sandalwood High school...eat some lunch with students and hang out. I really enjoy going to schools because you get to see what students go through on a daily basis. There are so many temptations and frustrations during school. It helps me understand that each student has a life that is full of ups and downs and they need encouragement and discipleship to be strong in today's culture.
God is moving in today's students. I was able to see God work yesterday in a few lives and i'm excited to see God's hand on this youth group.
Psalm is one of my favorite books, I love to read it in the morning when I wake up. Here's a verse I came across today:
Psalm 73:26 says, "My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
God is our portion! By His strength we can live this life
...I talked with a student yesterday of how we can do all the "makovers" we want on our life, we can go to church, we can be a good person, we can treat others fairly, but without a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, we are sinners before God.
But by His mercy we can be forgiven. I'm forgiven because of what Jesus did on the cross. What an amazing God! He loves you and wants to strengthen your life today no matter what is happening...He is the strength of our heart (Ps. 73:26)
Stay clean and close to God!
